  • Lung Cancer and Plural Diseases- I have special interest in this sub speciality. I have attended Lung MDT, fast track clinics, I have done 2000 EBUS-TBNA in conscious sedation. Led North London lung cancer network. We run Low dose CT Lung Screening programme.
  • Sleep and NIV- I have experience of working in a specialised sleep centre and supervise home NIV and home CPAP patients.
  • ILD- Have experience of investigating and managing ILD patients.
  • Pulmonary vascular diseases- Pulmonary Embolism & Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Intensive Care: I have worked in intensive care unit, managing the ventilated patient and good experience of managing acute NIV.I have also worked in respiratory HDUs both at DGH as well as tertiary hospital level.

  • June 2017 :Senior Consultant & Head in Pulmonology at Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.
  • June 2014 to June 2017 :Consultant in Respiratory & General Medicine at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Worked at King George Hospital, London and led Lung Cancer services. I worked on different early lung cancer detection programs.
  • August 2013 to May 2014: Locum Respiratory &General Physician at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, Shropshire, UK. After obtaining CCST from Yorkshire Deanery in August 2013, I took up a role of Locum Consultant in General &Respiratory Medicine at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. I looked after Respiratory inpatient, did two Respiratory clinics and participated in acute medical consultant on call.
  • Oct 2011 to August 2013: ST6& ST7-Respiratory Medicine in St James University Hospital, Leeds, West Yorkshire UK. Worked in this tertiary centre with a 10-bed respiratory HDU, 3 respiratory wards and a regional cystic fibrosis unit. I have completed Level 1 ultrasound training, had experience of doing standard Bronchoscopy &EBUS-TBNA. I have also done subspecialty clinics in Lung Oncology fast track clinics, difficult asthma, COPD, sleep/home ventilation, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis and interstitial lung disease.
  • October 2010 –October 2011: ST5 Respiratory Medicine in Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield, Yorkshire UK. Continued respiratory and general training in this busy DGH. Continued to gain bronchoscopy experience, and began to learn thoracic ultrasound. Had some experience of Thoracoscopy as locally available. Active supervision of junior doctors and students, and developing experience with lung cancer, TB, ILD and other respiratory conditions. Also did Acute Respiratory Registrar on call in addition to Acute GIM on call.
  • Aug 2009-Oct 2010: ST4-Respiratory Medicine &GIM Scarborough Hospital, Yorkshire UK. A year in this busy DGH post with high intensity GIM. Completed over 70 bronchoscopies, conducted clinics and ward rounds, and particularly enjoy supervising and teaching juniors.

  • Participated in treatment trial looking at the efficacy of number of second line anti TB medications and the time of sputum sterilization in patient of MDR TB. The trial results were published in college journal. The treatment trial took into account the patients with two to three primary resistance to first line anti TB drugs.
